Am I a Planner or a Pantser?

Years ago, while attending my first writer’s conference in Minneapolis, a presenter asked the audience if we were planners or pantsers. She explained that a planner maps out their story. Creates an outline. Develops characters and plots. Even completes the synopsis, all before writing the first line. It’s impressive, but it’s not me. I’m a pantser. I sit down to write, and my characters take over. I have little say, and that’s the way I like it!
